It was an emotional day for us here in Massachusetts with the running of the 118th Annual Boston Marathon, yesterday. It’s all we’ve been able to talk about since each of us here at the office had either a friend, neighbor, or family member who attended or ran last year. In the months since the bombing, we counted down the weeks and days anxious over what the day’s events might bring. We prayed for peace, for the victims and their families, that our Commonwealth would be brave.
Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. The sun shone bright, an American placed first in the U.S. men’s for the first time in thirty-one years, the Commonwealth came together in an inspiring show of support for the 36,000 runners that ran those 26.2 challenging miles.
To all who ran yesterday, CONGRATULATIONS.
You are resilient. You are Boston strong.
