CYBERCRIMINALS ARE FOLLOWING STUDENTS BACK TO SCHOOL
This year, Back to School won’t be like any other year. The school experience has remained at least partially digital: classrooms, curriculums, social interactions, business meetings, and more. Now that class is back in session, cybercriminals are ready to pounce on the education system, its employees, and students.
We see once again that hackers thrive in this chaos and confusion. Perhaps no area has been as deeply impacted as education. In 2020, U.S. education cyber incidents were up 18% over the previous year. The first half of 2021 saw a 29% increase in worldwide education cyberattacks. Luckily, students, families, and school employees can take actions now to thwart cyber threats!
